LOVING TJ’S…GIFT WORTHY TREATS

IMG_4215

Have you ever been stuck without a present for the tutor/coach/babysitter? On your way to a holiday party, only to realize you have nothing for the hostess? Make sure that never happens again by picking up the above items the next time you’re at Trader Joe’s. Each holiday season TJ’s offers a delicious array of treats in super cute packaging that are just right for gifting. This year’s options are particularly alluring: the Trader Joe’s Jingle Jangle tin is a mix of dark and milk chocolate covered pretzels, chews, peanut butter cups, and popcorn – something for everyone and so good. The English Toffee with Nuts is crunchy, buttery, sweet perfection, and the Almond Snowman cookies are just right for little ones and big ones alike. Each one comes in a festive container that only needs the addition of a pretty ribbon to be presentation ready. Grab a few the next time you do the marketing and you’ll never be stuck empty handed again.

LOVING TJ’S…DARK CHOCOLATE BAR

IMG_3193
This is not diet food. This is decadent food.

I love dark chocolate and I love caramel and I love salt, so this chocolate bar made with all three of these things is my sort of thing. Totally delicious and almost sinfully messy, since the caramel is more liquid than solid, it’s the best chocolate moment I’ve had since I went to Chocolaterie de Puyricard years ago. As with most Trader Joe’s products, it doesn’t have artificial colors or flavors or preservatives, but it’s easy to forget about all that good stuff once you take a bite. It’s that amazing. The last time I was there, the check-out lady picked it out of my basket, leaned in conspiratorially, and said: “Oh wow, I just found out about these.” And in that moment she and I became best friends – because we both knew. Now you do too.

P.S. As Dilyn knows, I don’t usually advocate taking pictures of the packaging, but I think it’s really pretty and frankly, I was worried I’d eat it all if I opened it.
